Over the Edge Chalet was an amazing space for Intridea's annual company retreat. From spacious rooms, roof top hot tub and fire places throughout the space to its amazing fully equipped kitchen! In addition, not only was the space itself beautiful, but the scenery was pretty great as well with trails and activities only steps way from the Chalet.
Elisabeth was an amazing help too! Always one step ahead of the game, she anticipated our group's needs before we even knew them, and always went one step further - whether it was assisting individuals with finding their rooms or recommending the best mechanic in town.
I'd easily book this place again and if you're looking for a place to host a large event, Over the Edge is an excellent option.
My father always said, if you think an expert is expensive, wait till you hire an amatuer. This high end home is that in a nutshell. Hitting 5 stars for "value" for this seems tough, but if there were six stars, I would have checked it. Every detail of the home is unbeleivable. From the six rooms that range from Cigar room, to an indoor half court basketball to the indoor theater, the attention to detail is amazing.
I have stayed at the Edge Chalet twice now, and would not consider staying anywhere else in Colorado. First time was skiing with family and friends. The owner arranged a chef to come in and we had the best meal I have ever had. (at a half the cost of a restaurant.
I just hope I'm not being too honest. I would hate to have it booked the next time I am headed to the mountains!
This home had it all, we loved it. The beds were all comfortable with beautiful, clean bathrooms. The basketball court is not usually seen in a ski house, so it was fun to have something different! The hot-tub on the roof was great, with a fireplace! Having the bar/game room on the first floor along with the kitchen, dining room and living room was great too-- you didn't feel like you had to be separated from the rest of the house when you were in there. Definitely would stay here again.
The location is perfect for mountain bike trails, access to town and numerous hiking trails. I am going to stay here in the winter as well. Ski in Ski out is hard to come by on this mountain and this house is in the perfect spot. What a joyful experience.
I hosted a corporate retreat at this house for 4 days and it was perfect! Plenty of room for all to spread out when not working, but great space for meeting times. The kitchen and dining area was perfect for our large group and was fully stocked for all our needs. If we come back to Steamboat to all meet again, we wont think twice of where to stay.
In a word, perfect. Second vacation here. First was ski season. This was summer in Colorado. And, I believe Steamboat in particular, has more to offer. Fly fishing, rafting, tubing, bicycle riding and tours. Waterfalls, rivers, great restaurants, to name a few things plus warm days and cool nights.
One night Elizabeth arranged for a private chef. Damon. Chilean Sea Bass and grilled rib eyes with perfect vegetables and accompaniments. Can't express in words what an excellent night it was in every way.
This is a very special place. It is for a select few. Every night is an unforgettable event.
My family rents vacation homes 4 times each year all over the U.S. This is the best home in our long run of renting. The kitchen is by far the BEST equipped for true cooks with everything we needed to prepare dinner and serve 30 guests. Matching dishes and flatware for every guest! The bedrooms were perfect with all requests taken care of before our arrival. Additionally, Elisabeth met us at the home and helped us unload our vehicles! She gave us a wonderful orientation to all the systems in the home. The gym was equipped for kids of all ages. Everything in the home worked! Not always the case with vacation rentals. I would highly recommend this property.
We were a party of three families( with 3 children, and 4 teenagers) and varying skiing abilities who stayed in "Over the Edge Chalet" for two weeks. From the moment we booked this home - we were very much looking forward to our stay in Steamboat and we were not disappointed. The home is everything it promises and more - absolute luxury, ski in ski out on an easy green run. Don Redlinger (the owner) met us on arrival and helped us sort out our various requirements from ski equipment hire to private instructor bookings to the fantastic masseuse that came to the home (arguably the best deep tissue massage I have had in a long time). We preferred to do our own catering but if you wanted to step it up a notch, Don could even organize the chefs to cook for you.
The kitchen is extremely well equipped and could easily cater to our requirements. Every night after skiing, the kids and dads would strip of their ski layers in the mud room and play a game of competitive basketball donkey, then soak in the private tub before dinner. The 14 seater round table was perfect for dining together and catching up on the day's best runs and stacks. Thanks to the poker shark in our group my children have become converted poker players... but really in this home you are spoilt for entertainment - whether you would prefer reading a good book by the fireplace, enjoying a relaxing long soak in either the outdoor hot tub or in the ensuite shower/steam room, jacuzzi bath, watching a movie in the cinema room, playing shuffleboard or poker... or working off that extra energy in the basketball court. Despite 3 families sharing the space it never felt like you were on top of one another. This home is exceptional in every way. And you know that you will be well looked after when you can deal directly with the owner of the home.
